Comprehend PT and CORA Physical Therapy come together to elevate clinical efficiency and patient care through AI-powered documentation. By integrating Comprehend PT’s real-time voice-to-text and automated note-generation capabilities into CORA’s therapy workflows, clinicians can drastically reduce charting time and administrative burden. This collaboration empowers therapists to stay focused on delivering exceptional, hands-on care—while documentation works seamlessly in the background.
To integrate Comprehend PT with CORA:
- Install the Comprehend Chrome Extension
- Search “Comprehend PT Chrome Extension” or access via the Comprehend website under Features
- Click Add to Chrome
- Download link also comes via onboarding email
- Create or Log Into Your Comprehend Account
- Open the extension and log in
- If new, click Create New Account and register with your company email
- Once logged in, you'll see:
- 5 most recent visits
- 5 most recent patients
- Open a CORA Note
- Load a note you'd normally complete manually in CORA
- Ensure all necessary fields/sections are visible
- Start a New Visit in Comprehend
- Click the “+” button in the extension
- Patient name and visit type will automatically pull into Comprehend
- Sync Your CORA Page (If Needed)
- If Comprehend isn’t aligned with the page you're viewing, press Sync
- This ensures Comprehend can see and document in the correct sections
- Record the Patient Visit
- Click Record
- Conduct your visit normally or dictate key elements
- Include details like:
- Pain levels and changes
- ROM & strength values
- Functional limitations and work status
- Treatment activities & settings
- Assessment and plan
- You may pause and resume recording anytime
- Review or Add Any Missing Clinical Details
- Add additional findings or history verbally
- All audio → transcript stored securely
- Audio deleted to remain HIPAA-compliant
- Click “Comprehend” to Auto-Generate the Note
- AI fills your CORA note sections automatically, including:
- Subjective history
- Objective measures
- ROM & strength fields
- Functional tests (e.g., DASH, TUG)
- Activity logs / modalities
- Assessment
- Plan & frequency
- Goals (SMART goals auto-generated)
- AI fills your CORA note sections automatically, including:
- Review & Edit
- Check each field for accuracy
- If Comprehend misses a field, ensure it’s visible and click Comprehend again
- Use Skip for sections you don't want AI to fill
- Hit Comprehend again after edits to update
- Optional: Customize Your Note Style
- Upload 3 "perfect note" examples to train tone/style
- Click the magic wand to retrain your note template
- Share templates with colleagues via domain access (similar to Google Docs)
- Use Mobile for Capture (Optional)
- Record visits in the iOS app
- Later open CORA + the Chrome extension and click Comprehend to transfer notes
- Submit Bugs or Feedback
- Click the bug icon if something looks wrong
- Record screen + leave notes to alert support
- Team updates fields quickly based on feedback
